The Montreal Lions aren't backing down.

Shortly after losing Anne-Sophie Courteau to the London Smash in free agency, the defending CNPL champions have made a statement signing of their own, bringing in Christina Chin to bolster their quest for a threepeat in the C4 season.

Chin, last season's #1 overall pick, joins captain Ernesto Fajardo, also a #1 overall selection, giving Montreal an elite tandem at the top of their roster.

The addition of Chin not only replaces the departing Courteau but elevates the Lions' championship window with a proven competitor who thrives in high-pressure situations.

A Championship-Level Addition

"Christina is one of the best in the game," said Fajardo. "Her experience, her skillset, and her winning mentality make her the perfect fit for what we're building here. We didn't just replace a piece, we added a game-changer."

Chin brings exceptional court coverage, tactical intelligence, and the kind of championship pedigree that fits seamlessly into Montreal's winning culture. Paired with Louis-Charles Amyot and Fajardo, the Lions continue to boast one of the most formidable cores in the league.

With two #1 overall picks anchoring the roster, the message from Montreal is clear: the crown isn't going anywhere.
