February 1, 2023 — We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Canadian National Pickleball League (CNPL)!

The CNPL will feature only the top 32 pickleball players in Canada, divided into 8 teams, and will offer a total player payout of $100,000—the highest ever in Canadian pickleball history.

Why Now?

Pickleball has experienced an incredible surge in popularity over the last few years, and Canada is no exception. With an increasing number of players and fans, the time has come for a top-tier professional league.

The CNPL aims to provide a platform for the best Canadian players to compete against one another and showcase their skills on a national stage.

League Format

The league will consist of four events throughout the year, with each team playing against the others in a round-robin format. The top four teams will then advance to a playoff round to determine the CNPL champion.

The league will also feature an all-star game, which will showcase the top players from each team.

Elite Talent Committed

The CNPL has already attracted the top players in Canada. Players like Jorge Quintero and Kim Brent, current Canadian National Men's & Women's Champions respectively, are among those who will be competing to be drafted into the league.

Record Prize Pool

In addition to providing an opportunity for top-level competition, the CNPL will also offer a significant payout to players. The $100,000 player payout pool is the highest ever for Canadian pickleball and demonstrates the commitment of the league to supporting its players.

A New Era for Canadian Pickleball

The CNPL is set to be a groundbreaking development for the sport of pickleball in Canada. With the top talent in the country competing against one another, fans can expect to witness some truly incredible matches.

We are thrilled to see the sport continue to grow and evolve in Canada, and we cannot wait to see the CNPL in action.
